The big man, Carsten Charles Sabathia, better known in the Bronx as CC was pulled from tonight’s game against the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth inning. He only threw 58 pitches after completing four innings of work. In those four innings he let up 3 runs, all homeruns, two by future Yankees third baseman Manny Machado. The other to former juicehead Chris Davis.
Early reports of the injury is soreness in his right hip. CC will undergo an MRI tonight to look at the severity of the injury. Hopefully it’s a day to day thing. It’s early in the season but the Yankees can’t afford to lose a starting pitcher, especially a workhorse like Sabathia. Hopefully there will be more to report after the MRI and the pajama wearing CC Sabathia isn’t on the shelf for too long.
