The Yankees faced off against the Red Sox in the final game of their three game stint in Boston last night. They ended up losing 6-3 in a game that seemed like a total loss after 3 innings. Sonny Gray struggled with his command once again and had a horrible outing and our bats were useless against Rick Porcello. Sonny Gray let up 7 hits, 6 earned runs, walked two batters and struck out three. All in three innings. You can say it was a bad night for Gray. He’s been struggling this year with an ERA currently at 6.92… Yikes! Hopefully he can turn it around and quick.
Thankfully the game was delayed for roughly about 35 minutes due to rain. Up until that point the Yankees were being no hit by Rick Porcello. Luckily Judge broke that up in the seventh inning. I don’t know if I could have lived with myself knowing this team couldn’t get a hit off Porcello. Mookie Betts continued to terrorize us with 2 RBIs and Gary Sanchez continued to rake at Fenway getting a double with the bases loaded in the ninth. Everybody on base crossed home and he tacked on 3 RBIs. Kimbrel came in and closed out the game for the Sox. Showing everybody that the Boston bullpen is complete shit minus Craig Kimbrel. The Yankees head to Detroit to open up a series with the Tigers. Hopefully they can get some Ws because they are in need of some after a shitty week and a half.
